i went to the doctor about it, and he said it was an alergic riaction but now we're in april and i'm still getting that feeling.

any advice would be grateful.

thanks

I suggest you go to the doctor instead of asking us, as none of us possess a medical degree

As Goblin has said, you need to go to your doctor, and talk to him/her about this. One thing I can suggest though, is asking to have your thyroid gland checked. The doctor can run blood tests to make sure that your thyroid is in proper balance. The thyroid gland controls many hormones and other things in your body, and if there is a problem with it, loss of appetite, or gain in appetite, are just two of the symptoms. Now, I'm not a doctor, and I'm not saying that this is what your problem is. It's just a suggestion. You need to go to your doctor and talk with him/her about all this. They will run tests to check everything. If your doctor that you normally go to, doesn't seem to be of much help, then go see a different one.

You're welcome, but just remember, what I said was just a suggestion. Do go to your doctor. They can do a lot for you in finding out what's wrong.

those who refuse to listen to advice deserve to lose their hearing.

hmm, i wonder if that's what's wrong with my cat. she's lost half her body weight over the last few weeks.
the vet is still doing tests.

I don't know how to help. I have the same problem, but not cause I was ill. I am hardly hungry anymore!! His morning I did not even want to eat breakfast, even though usually I love it.

heay
Same here.
yah, so i loose my appetite when im very angry or stressed or disappointed about somthing. for example, i was very disapointed at my roomate because she made a nasty comment of me. She said that somebody else told her that i made a comment about homosexuality being a sin. i know that in my heart i would never do that and that that is not my personality type. That is not my usual self at all.
So yesterday i didn't want to go out to lunch and my roomate begged me to go to lunch because she said "that is not healthy at all, you didn't even eat breakfast either. you can't be so many hours like that, you'll get sick.
So, i told her, well, im waiting for dad to pick me up so we can go out to eat.
so yah, that sometimes makes me do it.

that's why not long ago, i only weighed 80 pounds at 4 ft 11 tall.

thanks

I would try talking to your doc about it, sounds like it's more than just thyroid. Do you get fatigued alot? Do you have weight loss or weight gain? Do you get cold a lot in your extremities? Are you hoarse half the time? These are symptoms of thyroid so I'd see you doc ant tell him/her how long you had the loss of appetite. He may want to perform tests on you.

Lately I am not very hungry iether. I have had tests and they didn't find anything. I do have depression though. At the moment Iam under a lot of presure from college. I think it can be stress related

Loss of appetite is common with people with depression.

even though you aren't eating and if you don't have any issues with swalowing tablets. try taking 3 fish oil capsules a day, they'll help you feel slightly better. though, more importantly they'll help to boost up your vitamins, fibres etc that you lose from the lack of food.
